Welcome my friends to November, 2011 at Heavens Tea and Sacred Arts Center. Tea is sacred medicine, we specialize in rare teas which have a great amount of chi or life force. These teas are calming and have the ability to shift us into deeper, more profound states of awareness. They also have flavor and aroma profiles that are beyond belief, these are not like ANY teas you have had before. Our many classes and sessions teach both the classical art of tea and the spiritual, inner art of tea. My goal is to give others the tools for making tea their own art and to support the growth of tea culture in the states.

Tuesday the 1st:  Wandering Through Leaves, A Tea Journey. 7pm >Leaves are falling, floating color, crunchy walks thorugh beauty. In our journey on this night will drink many fallen leaves from many sacred old forests. This tea night is meant to attune you to the season energetically and open your being to the beauty around us. A walk is suggested afterward. $25-40 slidiing scale as you like.

Wednesday Afternoon, 2nd. 1pm. Beauty in a Cup,The Profound Art of Brewing Tea. Brewing tea is an art that is simple to learn, yet one can work on it a life time and never know all its secrets. Instruction will include learning about teaware and techniques that will open up many new dimenions of the tea experience for you. You will learn how water, time, temperature, tea ware and your own state affect you ability to bring each tea to its fullest life. Of course we will drink amazing rare teas also. 35/person. Open to beginners and advanced students, this is an art of endless depth, bring you questions or teas if you like.

Friday 4th,7pm.   Tea As Plant Spirit Medicine, 7-830pm. Rare teas have an amazing and deep effect on the human mind, body and spirit. We will drink several precious teas and after each one we will have a short meditation to connect to the spirit of the plant. Short discusion will follow, this is truley a healing experience. The variety of vibrations and energies found in teas is truly stunning. We will explore the profound healing and state shifting properties of tea and the potentialities of using tea for inner work and to connect you to the deeper, broader harmonies of nature and creation. $35 These are amaazing classes.

Saturday 5th Day. Sacred Tea and Meditation. 9-1015am. We will spend the first half of the session drinking rare herbs and aged puerh which will move you efforlessly into a state of deep calm and expansion. We will then meditate for 40 minutes. You will love this, it is a beautiful way to start the day. No meditation experince is nessesary, leave the driving to me! 15-30$ suggested donation. Please call to reserve a spot.

Sunday Night, 6th , 730pm.  Drinking the Forest, A Night of Rare Aged Teas. 7-9pm. A Night of Profound Aged Puerh Teas ,In this session we will drink extremely rare puerh from the  80s.and 90s. These teas are form the “mother” tea trees in the world and many of my puer teas are from trees hundreds of years old and from wild forests. These old teas will transform you and will experience many profound states of being. These old teas are considered very sacred and are real medicine for the mind, body and spirit. Working with this medicine is my specialty and those who have been here before know how amazing these evenings can be. We will be doing these once a month. Limited to six people. 35$

Monday Day, 7th. The Humble Pot- the Classical Tea Wares of the Far East. 10-1130am. In this class you will learn about the classical tea wares used in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. The teaware of East Asia can be true art: a symphony of beauty, eleganance and function. We will learn how to use gaiwans, yixing, porcelain, glassware and antiue pieces and discover what types of wares best suit what teas and how to use each for brewing. In the process we will drink rare teas which will float you on a cloud and bring you to a sense of deep relaxation and well being. $30/person

Wednesday 9th, 7pm. Tea and Chi- Tea for Self Cultivation Practices. 7-9pm. Tea and Chi, 7-830pm. Rare tea is full of “chi” or living energy. We will explore some of the various types of chi found in good quality teas. Some teas will make you happy, some ecstatic, some meditative and some will connect you to the vibrancy of life around you. In this session we will explore the various types of chi and you will experience first hand the beautiful range of vibrations, flavors and aromas captured in these rare teas.This is a rare chance to experience these teas and the sacred power of teas for yourself. $35

 Thursday. 10th, Full Moon Ecsatic Tea and Poetry Night. 7-9pm. On this night we will drink rare teas which will shift us into and open and expansive state. We will read ecstatic poetry from Persia, Tibet, India and the West (or your own poetry). We will eat chocolate and berries, listen to ecstatic music and howl at the moon! The recognition of cycles of nature is very powerful and being in tune with them can help you in your personal growth and the ease with which you move through life, come join me. $35/person. Limit 10 people. (this class fills quickly) feel free to bring poetry, things from nature, chocolate, whatever to celebrate the fullness of life.

Ritual is an important way for us each day to get re connected to our selves, our lives and our world. During this chaotic time in which we are living these simple acts can give us the grounding we need to move through life and serve others. 35/person

Tuesday15th  7pm. Using Teas in Conjunction with Healing Practices. 7 pm. High quality tea, from clean biodiverse sources can have tremendous capacity for bringing patients quickly into a quiet, deep , open place from which they can ask for and recieve what they really need to be healed. The teas can also help the healing process through their ability to open channels and removes blocks on many levels from the system. Come learn more. $40/person

There are amazing flowers, roots, and leaves that are made into teas and these plants can be healing, calming and transformative. In this class we will explore herbal teas from both eastern and western traditions. We will learn about their healing properties, brewing, and the energetics of these teas. I have worked very hard to find teas from pristine places and sources which support the farmers and old school tea growing techniques (an art that is disappearing). These teas are a different caliber from what is on the market and these teas are exquisite and healing . Stop in, sample and buy a special gift for some one or yourself.

Each place has its own special energy and ecology which shapes the way a tea tastes, smells and feels. There is a reason why some of these mountains have been valued by emperors, priests and common folk for centuries. The tea that comes from each of these places is truley sublime and powerful and each carries the unique signiture of the terrior.Included will be zheng yan wuyi oolongs, single bush phoenix oolongs,

Wednesday 19th. A night of ecstatic tea and ecstatic poetry. We will drink teas which will put you in an uplifting ecstatic state and read peotry from different spiritual traditions. This will be a night of lightness and fun. We will drink aged puerh, rare herbal teas, oolongs from taiwan and china and teas from trees over a hundred years old. $35/person.

Friday 21st. Tea and Chi, 7-830pm. Rare tea is full of “chi” or living energy. We will explore some of the various types of chi found in good quality teas. Some teas will make you happy, some ecstatic, some meditative and some will connect you to the vibrancy of life around you. We will drink very precious rare teas and do a short 5 minute meditation after each one and discuss its effects on our body and spirit. These teas are from the mother tea trees in the world and are traditionally aged to increase their chi or potency. You will learn about the different kinds, how they change over time and how to buy puerh teas. These teas have powerful health qualities and can calm and center you in your day. We will drink a wide vaierty of puerh teas boht young and aged to give you an understanding of what this amazing tea can offer. $35./person

This aged tea is of the calibar of some of the great master vintages of the last 60 years and will move you into procound states of relaxation and awareness. We will aslo drink other rare herbs and aged oolongs in this session to prepare your body for this powerful expreince. I only have one portion of this tea so this will be a one time offering,, dont miss it. $100/person, limit 7 people. We will also have some special tea foods to make this a beautiful experince.

On this night we will drink top shelf oolongs from famed the Wuyi Mountains, these teas are known for their powerful yet refined ”chi” or energy which is deeply calming and can shift you into sublte states awareness with a profound connection to nature.These teas have been used for self culitavation for hundreds of years. These teas also have amazing aromas and flavors which change in every steeping of the tea – drinking these teas is like drinking “beauty’ itself. We will drink only Zheng Yan teas, teas from the tradtional growing region:  2010 Zheng yan Water Fairy, 2005 White Roosters Comb, 2006Cinnimon Fragrance, Old Bush and aged 30 year  Wuyi teas. This will be an elegant evening of special tea. Each of these teas will change your state and energy compleatly. We will do a short 5 minute meditation after each one to connect on a deeper level the experince of these profound teas. $50. Limit 6 people.

Tonight,  in our series  of our tea fundamentals offerings, you will be introduced to the different kinds of tea in the world: white, green, oolong, black (hong cha), puerh and herbal. We will try each type and learn how to identify and brew these teas and about the differences in character, energy and processing. This is a great background for further tea adventures. $25-35, sliding scale.

Thursday 22nd, 1030am -1200 noon, Learning Simple  Tea Ritual for Your Daily Life. A simple tea ritual can be a powerful way to create time for yourself in your life. Time to re-center, quiet the mind, leave all the frenetic flow of the day behind and come back to your own self and heart. Learn how to very simply create simple ritual and space in your home. It is so important in the world today that you have some moments in your day to reconnect to your self, your heart and your clarity. If you dont claim a few moments of your day to connect to the sacred, it will not be given in this busy world. $35.

Certain teas can help move you quickly and easily into a meditative state by calming and integrating the mind body and spirit. We will sample some of these teas, feel and discuss their effects and learn the skills necessary to bring this practice to your own space. We will drink ecstatic teas, read mystical poetry, eat chocolates, lilsten to sacred music and invoke the muses. A celebration in honor of weaving the sacred into every day life….as it should be. Sacred Tea and Lakota Medicine Healing Session, Saturday 9th. On this evening I will serve a series of sacred rare teas that will bring you to a place of great depth and openess for the first hour. Then, Lakota Heyoka Medicine Man Steve Stonearrow will perform healing songs and ritual for members of the session. This will be a night of great healing and beauty. We will aslo drink other rare herbs and aged oolongs in this session to prepare your body for this powerful expreince. Tuesday Day 12th: The Humble Pot- the Classical Tea Wares of the Far East. 10-1130am. In this class you will learn about the classical tea wares used in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. The teaware of East Asia can be true art: a symphony of  beauty, eleganance and function. We will learn how to use gaiwans, yixing, porcelain, glassware and antiue pieces and discover what types of wares best suit what teas and how to use each for brewing. In the process we will drink rare teas which will float you on a cloud and bring you to a sense of deep relaxation and well being. $35/person.

Each place has its own special energy and ecology which shapes the way a tea tastes, smells and feels. There is a reason why some of these mountains have been valued by emperors, priests and common folk for centuries. The tea that comes from each of these places is truley sublime and powerful and each carries the unique signiture of the terrior. We will drink 30 year old aged baozhong from Taiwan, aged Zheng Yan wuyi Yan Cha, Single Bush Phoenix Oolong, and Concubine tea from Taiwan, among others.  $35/person.

A Night of Profound Aged Puerh Teas ,In this session we will drink extremely rare puerh from the 70s and 80s.and 90s.  These teas are form the “mother” tea trees in the world and many of my puer teas are from trees hundreds of years old and from wild forests. These old teas will transform you and will experience many profound states of being. These old teas are considered very sacred and are real medicine for the mind, body and spirit. Working with this medicine is my specialty and those who have been here before know how amazing these evenings can be. We will be doing these once a month. Limited to six people. $50

On this night we will drink top shelf oolongs from famed the Wuyi Mountains, these teas are known for their powerful yet refined ”chi” or energy which is deeply calming and can shift you into sublte states awareness with a profound connection to nature.These teas have been used for self culitavation for hundreds of years. These teas also have amazing aromas and flavors which change in every steeping of the tea – drinking these teas is like drinking “beauty’ itself. We will drink only Zheng Yan teas, teas from the tradtional growing region:  2010 Zheng yan Water Fairy, 2005 White Roosters Comb, 2006Cinnimon Fragrance, Old Bush and aged 30 year  Wuyi teas. My goal is to give others the tools for making tea their own art and to support the growth of tea culture in the states.

Welcome to April 2011 at Heavens Tea. Below is a list of public classes for the month. All classes by reservation only and are limited to 7 people. A minimum of two people is needed to run a class. These sessions are more than just classes, they are an experience of many dimensions which will connect you to the depth and spirit of tea. Private sessions, tastings, parties are available any time morning, afternoon or evening.  All classes include rare teas, tea snacks, flowers, and music in a room filled with antique Asian art and beauty. New Moon Sacred Tea Offerings, Sunday 3rd, 6-730pm. The new moon is a powerful time to establish ones intentions and prayers for the next lunar cycle. These cycles are a deeper rythum of nature which affects all of life on the planet and have been generally obscured in modern times. Working in harmony with this cycle helps link us to work with rather than in opposition to the larger forces which affect the rythum of life on earth. We will drink rare aged puer teas, oolongs and rare wild crafted herbs and set our prayers and intentions for the month. 35/person.

Tuesday 5th. Gung Fu Cha- Classsical Chinese Tea Ceremony. 10am-1230pm. In this class we will learn the simple yet beautiful style of Chinese tea service. This way of tea allows one to embrace a simple ritual way of tea which will enhace your appreciation and expreince of tea and allow you to give this experience to others. Ritual is an important way for us each day to get re connected to our selves, our lives and our world. During this chaotic time in which we are living these simple acts can give us the grounding we need to move through life and serve others. 35/person

Saturday Morning, 9th. Sacred Tea and Meditation. 9-1015am. We will spend the first half of the session drinking rare herbs and aged puerh which will move you efforlessly into a state of deep calm and expansion. We will then meditate for 40 minutes. Sunday 10th, Rare Puerh Tasting. 7-10pm. This is a once in a life time opportunity to drink some very rare and amazing puerh from the 1960s. This aged tea is of the calibar of some of the great master vintages of the last 60 years and will move you into procound states of relaxation and awareness. We will aslo drink other rare herbs and aged oolongs in this session to prepare your body for this powerful expreince. I only have one portion of this tea so this will be a one time offering,, dont miss it. $100/person, limit 7 people. We will also have some special tea foods to make this a beautiful experince.

Tuesday Day 12th: The Humble Pot- the Classical Tea Wares of the Far East. 10-1130am. In this class you will learn about the classical tea wares used in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. We will learn what types of wares best suit what teas and how to use each for brewing. In the process we will drink rare teas which will float you on a cloud and bring you to a sense of deep relaxation and well being. $35/person.

Tuesday Evening, 12th.  Tea and Chi- Tea for Self Cultivation Practices. 7-9pm. Tea and Chi, 7-830pm. Rare tea is full of  “chi” or living energy. We will explore some of the various types of chi found in good quality teas. Some teas will make you happy, some ecstatic, some meditative and some will connect you to the vibrancy of life around you. In this session we will explore the various types of chi and you will experience first hand the beautiful range of vibrations, flavors and aromas captured in these rare teas.This is a rare chance to experience these teas and the sacred power of  teas for yourself. $35.

Wednessday 15th, Tea As Plant Spirit Medicine, 7-830pm.  Rare teas have an amazing and deep effect on the human mind, body and spirit. The variety of vibrations and energies found in teas is truly stunning. We will explore the profound healing and state shifting properties of tea and the potentialities of using tea for inner work and to connect you to the deeper, broader harmonies of nature and creation. $35 .

Thursaday Day, 14th. Drinking the Mountians, Rare Oolongs from China and Taiwan. 1-230pm. In this class we will drink rare oolongs from some of the old famous tea mountains of China. Each place has its own special energy and ecology which shapes the way a tea tastes, smells and feels. There is a reason why some of these mountains have been valued by emperors, priests and common folk for centuries. The tea that comes from each of these places is truley sublime and powerful and each carries the unique signiture of the terrior. $35/person.

Sunday 17th, Full Moon Ecsatic Tea and Poetry Night. 7-9pm. On this night we will drink rare teas which will shift us into and open and expansive state. We will read ecstatic poetry from Persia, Tibet, India and the West (or your own poetry). We will eat chocolate and berries, listen to ecstatic music and howl at the moon! $35/person. Limit 7 people. I have worked very hard to find teas from pristine places and sources which support the farmers and old school tea growing techniques (an art that is disappearing). These teas are a different caliber from what is on the market and these teas are exquisite and healing . Stop in, sample and buy a special gift for some one or yourself.

This will be an elegant evening of special tea. $40

Rolling in Flowers- An Herbal Tea Session. Monday 29th, 7-830pm. $35. There are amazing flowers, roots, and leaves that are made into teas and these plants can be healing, calming and transformative. In this class we will explore herbal teas from both eastern and western traditions. We will learn about their healing properties, brewing, and the energetics of these teas. In this day Mothers are giving and giving and rarely get the time they need to restore and have some time to really relax and be taken care of. Saturday 26th, Puerh Tea Sale and Tasting: 12-3pm. .Puerh tea is tea from the mother tea species in the world. These teas are very good for the body and can be healing on many levels. I am offering 20 different extremely high quality puerhs for sale including loose leaf, bricks , cakes, raw and cooked. All the puerhs I carry are very clean, have great depth and complexity of flavor, good chi (energy) and can be brewed for many many steepings. I also am selling aged pureh, some by the ounce,  which have incredible chi; these teas are amazing and very hard to find. Sunday 27th. Tea for Healing and Self Cultivation. 7-9pm. In this class you will learn about using tea in conjunction with healing, acupuncture, yoga, chi gung, ecstatic dance and massage. Tea can prepare your or a patients body and spirit to engage from a deep and receptive place. For healers, tea can quickly bring a patient to a centered and deep place form which they can ask for and/or receive help. For yoga and chi gung practitioners, teas can give you a profound energetic sensitivity and unify body  mind and spirit. Please bring your questions so I can address your needs fully. Tuesday 29th.7-830pm.  Water the Mother of Tea. WATER is the essence of tea. It is the living medium upon which tea can unfold its flavors, aromas, and energy. In this session we will explore the role of water in the art of tea. You will see how different waters effect the flavor and expression of tea and we will be introduced to ancient practices of working with water and tea. This study reaches to the very heart of tea, for beginners and advanced students. $35/person.

We will drink rare evocative teas, but I will not tell you what they are – teas which will make you swoon with fragrance, flavors and chi- and then we will each compose a poem or poetic name for the tea. This is a really fun evening- there will be sublime moments of discovery, giggles, and chocolate.

Chinese New Years Tea Drunk! (new moon) >This pre new years evening tea will be the one of tea drunkeness, poetry, and a setting of intentions for the coming year. We will drink teas which will make your heart and being open, read spiritual poetry from different traditions or write our own. Feel free to bring books, music, sweets to share. Thursday the 3rd, 7-9pm Chinese New Years Party - A celebration of the new year year with rare teas, sweets, astrology readings (from the web- for your sign this year), music, and a few other treats. We will drink teas that will make you swoon an float, this is meant to be a real party- so no formality, just fun, sense of community and a joyous start to the new year. Limit 10 people-$35/person. Sunday the 6th, 7-9 pm. New Years with the Immortals- this will be the quieter and most profound evening. We will be drinking a very prized and famous puerh from the 1970′s which will be an amazing experience, even for those of you who had had good aged tea. We will also drink some outstanding aged oolong from the 1980s, that I got in Taiwan, that is like drinking champagne- it will make you laugh and bubbly. We will also drink some rare aged puerh that will with one tiny cup put you into a profound state of quiet being, this tea drops you into the TAO. This will be a special night, come join me. Friday Day 4-530pm. Oolong Unwinding, An End of the Week Tea Session. In this session we will drink rare Chinese and Taiwanese oolongs. Basically I will get you tea drunk, this session is meant to replace Happy Hour as a way to let go of your week, relax, laugh and come back to center in a healthy way. This session will start your whole weekend off in a very special way, why not start out by becoming centered, aligned and de-stressed. This tea “party” will do that. $25-35 sliding scale, depending on need.

Saturday Morning, 12th. 9-1015am. Sitting in the Mountains, A Puerh and Meditation Session. We will drink amazing aged tea for 40 minutes which will move you into a deep and quiet place and then we will meditate for another 40 minutes. This is a great way to start the weekend and the energy will carry you all day. No meditation experience is necessary, this state will come about naturally after the tea. $15-30 sliding scale.

Saturday Day, 12th Puerh Tea Sale and Tasting!  12pm-4pm. The first of my monthly puer sales/tastings.Puerh tea is tea from the mother tea species in the world. These teas are very good for the body and can be healing on many levels. I have 15 different extremely high quality puerhs for sale including loose leaf, bricks , cakes, raw and cooked. All the puerhs I carry are very clean, have great depth and complexity of flavor, good chi (energy) and can be brewed for many many steepings. I also am selling aged pureh, some by the ounce,  which have incredible chi; these teas are amazing and very hard to find. Sunday the 13th. THIS DAY IS RESERVED FOR VALENTINES DAY EVENTS

1) PRE-VALENTINES COUPLES TEA – 4-530PM. This will be an elegant tea for 3 couples, a perfect pre-romantic diner tea. We will have exquisite rare teas which will melt your heart and body (no, really, they will) and put you into a state of ecstasy.  There will be chocolates and berries, of course, flowers, music, incense, candles and you will be surrounded by antique asian art. 2) VALENTINES EVE PARADISE SESSION. 7-9PM. Tea is about making every moment special. In this session we will pull out all the stops and have mind-blowing rare teas that will make you swoon  with ecstasy and delight. This will be a night you and your partner will always remember and we will have rare aged teas that few people in the world get to experience. We will drink things that will awaken every sense, and you will be swept away on a cloud by the end of the session. There will be flowers, chocolates and berries, of course, music, incense, candles and you will be surrounded by antique asian art. How can you resist? BY RESERVATION- First 3 couples, $135/couple.

Valentines Day-Monday the 14th, I am open for private seventy five minute sessions this day from 9am-4pm. These sessions will be filled with incredible rare teas, flowers, chocolates and berries, of course, music, incense, candles and you will be surrounded by antique Asian art. VALENTINES TEA, A CELEBRATION OF LOVE- OPEN TO ALL, Monday 14th.- WHETHER SINGLE OR IN PARTNERSHIP. 7-9PM. Thursday 17th, Day. Tea for Mothers Who Need Down Time! 1030am to 12 noon. In this day Mothers are giving and giving and rarely get the time they need to restore and have some time to really relax and be taken care of. I am offering a session for mothers who need time away from the frenetic flow of their life. We will drink soothing, heart opening, centering rare teas, eat a little chocolate- there will be flowers, music, incense, candles and a constant flow of amazing tea. I would like to start doing these classes twice a month. Heavens Tea is a haven, a place of restoration, come join me. Limited to 7 mommas, $35.

Friday Day, 18th Beauty in a Cup, The Art of Brewing Tea. In this class you will learn the art of brewing teas; about water, tea ware, brewing times, how to brew different types of tea, etc. The beauty of each tea  can be unlocked with proper understanding and you will learn some of the secrets in this class. This session is for beginning as well as advanced students, bring your questions, this is an art of endless subtlety. $35/person

Friday Eve, 18th “Super Fantastic Full Moon Ecstatic Tea and Poetry and Chocolate Night”On this night we will drink rare teas which will shift us into and open and expansive state. We will read ecstatic poetry from Persia, Tibet, India and the West (or your own poetry). We will eat chocolate and berries, listen to ecstatic music and howl at the moon! $35/person. Limit 7 people. Saturday 26th, 12-5pm. Tea Sale and Tasting: On this afternoon I will be sampling and selling a dozen exquisite rare teas for sale. I have worked very hard to find teas from pristine places and sources which support the farmers and old school tea growing techniques (an art that is disappearing). These teas are a different caliber from what is on the market and these teas are exquisite and healing . Stop in, sample and buy a special gift for some one or yourself. Included- rare whites, oolongs, herbs, and many superb puerhs, both new and aged. My teas are of the highest quality and many of them you will get 9 or 10 steepings from one set of leaves. Welcome to January 2011 at Heavens Tea. Below is a list of public classes for the month. All classes by reservation only and are limited to 7 people. A minimum of two people is needed to run a class. These sessions are more than just classes, they are an experience of many dimensions which will connect you to the depth and spirit of tea. Private sessions, tastings, parties are available any time morning, afternoon or evening.  All classes include rare teas, tea snacks, flowers, and music in a room filled with antique Asian art and beauty. The teas I use are unlike any you have likely encountered and will calm you, center you and fill you with wonder. WEEK 1

Thursday 6th-The Family of Tea, The 6 Types of Tea in Asia. 7-830pm. Tonight you will be introduced to the different kinds of tea in the world: white, green, oolong, black (hong cha), puerh and herbal. We will try each type and learn about the differences in character, energy and processing. This is a great background for further tea adventures.

Saturday Morning, 8th, Class: Using Tea for Meditation and Self Cultivation. 11am-12:30pm. This class will teach you how to use tea to aide your meditation/yoga/ chi gung practices. Your will learn to use teas to help open the acupuncture meridians to increase flow and awareness of the subtle energy in your body. Teas can be a profound aide for connecting to meditative states, come with your practical questions! $35/person

Sunday Evening, 9th. Flying Carpet- A Night of Rare Teas, Writing/Sharing Poetry, and Sacred Music. 7-9pm. On this night we will drink rare teas which will awaken the senses and inspire your spirit. We will write and share sacred poetry, read mystical poetry and you are encouraged to bring cds of sacred music of the world to share. This will be a night of inspiration and flight! $35, limit 7 people.

Monday 10th, Evening, 7-830pm. Chinese Tea Ceremony: Gong Fu Cha. Tuesday 9th, 7-830pm. In this session we will learn about the simple yet profound art of Chinese tea ceremony. This simple ritual can be learned in its simplest form in one session. This will give you a simple tea ritual you can use at home or with friends. This art appears simple, yet like most true arts, it has endless depth and can take a life time to master. Time to start your journey. $ 25-35/person, sliding scale.

Tuesday 11th,  Morning 10-1130am. Learning Simple  Tea Ritual for Your Daily Life. A simple tea ritual can be a powerful way to create time for yourself in your life. Time to re-center, quiet the mind, leave all the frenetic flow of the day behind and come back to your own self and heart. Learn how to very simply create simple ritual and space in your home. If you dont claim a few moments of your day to connect to the sacred, it will not be given in this busy world. $35

Tuesday 11th, Evening , 7-830pm. Understanding Puer Teas I. This class will introduce you to the world of puerh teas. These teas are from the mother tea trees in the world and are traditionally aged to increase their chi or potency. You will learn about the different kinds, how they change over time and how to buy puerh teas. These teas have powerful health qualities and can calm and center you in your day. $35./person

Thursday 13th, Evening- Blind Tea, A Night of Essences. This is a very special night where we explore the essence of tea – its aromas, flavors, and energetics. Guests will wear a blind fold and be given glass after glass of various teas. Without sight you will be focused on the more subtle parts of the tea experience and be drawn into a deep expression of tea, smell, taste, texture and self. There will also be little bites to ear- a berry, a chocolate, etc. This will be a night of essences and beauty. Limited to 6 people- $45.00

Sunday Evening 16th, 7-9pm. Drinking the Tao- A Night of Profound Aged Puerh Teas ,In this session we will drink extremely rare puerh from the 1960′s-70s and 80s. These teas are form the “mother” tea trees in the world and many of my puer teas are from trees hundreds of years old and from wild forests. These old teas will transform you and will experience many profound states of being. These old teas are considered very sacred and are real medicine for the mind, body and spirit. Working with this medicine is my specialty and those who have been here before know how amazing these evenings can be. We will be doing these once a month. Limited to six people, $100/person.

WEEK 3.

Monday 17th, Day Class:  The Tea ware of Asia. 11am -1230pm. In this session you will learn how to use the various kinds of tea ware used in Asia. You will see what types of brewing vessels are appropriate for what kinds of teas and how to use each kind of pot to get the best out of your tea. We will along the way taste several rare teas and learn a great deal about the art of tea. $35/person

Monday 17th, Evening Class: Tea as Plant, Spirit, Medicine: 7-830. Rare teas have an amazing and deep effect on the human mind, body and spirit. The variety of vibrations and energies found in teas is truly stunning. We will explore the profound healing and state shifting properties of tea and the potentialities of using tea for inner work and to connect you to the deeper, broader harmonies of nature and creation. $35 sliding.

Tuesday 18th, Day Class: Drinking the Mountains- Rare Oolongs of the Great Tea Mountains of China. 11am-1230pm. In this class we will drink rare oolongs from some of the old famous tea mountains of China. Each place has its own special energy and ecology which shapes the way a tea tastes, smells and feels. There is a reason why some of these mountains have been valued by emperors, priests and common folk for centuries. The tea that comes from them can be profound. $35/person.

Tuesday Evening 18th: Only the Cup Speaks, A Profound Night of Silent Teas. A night of drinking rare teas silently. Left only to sit in the essence of each tea, you will taste, smell and feel the effects of each rare tea as never before. The silence brings your full attention into presence where every sensation is heightened.  Tea is plant medicine and like all medicine like this so much of the practice is learning to listen- listen to the tea, you body, your thoughts- the world is full of conversation, we just dont hear it because we are talking all the time. Come drink with me and let tea so the talking. 35$.

Sunday 23rd. Drinking the Forest- Drinking the Aged Teas of China. On this night we will drink rare aged teas from China. The experience and taste of these teas can be like drinking the whole forest in a cup. Some teas taste like roots and bark, some like wood and leaf, and some like the whole forest floor. Tea will include early 1990s liu bao black, aged puerh from the 80s and 90s, 30 year aged oolong, and 20 year aged lui an tea. This will be a night you will never forget, you will arrive on foot and leave on wings. $45/person. (this class fills quickly, reserve soon)

Monday the 24th. Tea and Chi, 7-830pm. Rare tea is full of living energy. We will explore some of the various types of chi found in good quality teas. Some teas will make you happy, some ecstatic, some meditative and some will connect you to the vibrancy of life around you. This is a rare chance to experience these teas and the sacred power of  teas for yourself. $35.

Tuesday 25th.7-830pm.  Water the Mother of Tea. WATER is the essence of tea. It is the living medium upon which tea can unfold its flavors, aromas, and energy. In this session we will explore the role of water in the art of tea. You will see how different waters effect the flavor and expression of tea and we will be introduced to ancient practices of working with water and tea. This study reaches to the very heart of tea, for beginners and advanced students. $35/person.

Thursday 27th. Tea for Healing and Self Cultivation. 7-9pm. In this class you will learn about using tea in conjunction with healing, acupuncture, yoga, chi gung, ecstatic dance and massage. Tea can prepare your or a patients body and spirit to engage from a deep and receptive place. For healers, tea can quickly bring a patient to a centered and deep place form which they can ask for and/or receive help. For yoga and chi gung practitioners, teas can give you a profound energetic sensitivity and unify body  mind and spirit. Please bring your questions so I can address your needs fully. We will drink amazing teas as examples. $45/person.
