Sacred Art of Asia

I have over 30 years experience in Asian arts, my specialty is Himalayan Buddhist and Hindu art but my love extends to all things Asian and old. In 2001 I was guest curator at the Portland Museum of Art where I mounted an exhibition of rare early Tibetan art from local private collections. The exhibit was launched in honor of the Dalia Lama’s visit to Portland that year. My pieces have been exhibited at the Portland Museum of Art and the Rubin Museum of Tibetan Art in NYC.

Sacred art is a doorway to our inner life and to our humanity. It speaks to our humanity and divinity as humans. Sacred art of all cultures has the capacity to transmit deep truths and reflections of our inner and deeper life in a simple visual way. In a way great art is like great music, its power transcends culture, country and time and can speak directly to our profound humanity.
