Welcome to May, 2011 at Heavens Tea. Below is a list of public classes for the month. All classes by reservation only and are limited to 7 people. A minimum of two people is needed to run a class. These sessions are more than just classes, they are an experience of many dimensions which will connect you to the depth and spirit of tea. Private sessions, tastings, parties are available any time morning, afternoon or evening. All classes include rare teas, tea snacks, flowers, and music in a room filled with antique Asian art and beauty. The teas I use are unlike any you have likely encountered and will calm you, center you and fill you with wonder. Wednesday, 4th. Classsical Chinese Tea Ceremony. 7-830pm. In this class we will learn the simple yet beautiful style of Chinese tea service. This way of tea allows one to embrace a simple ritual way of tea which will enhace your appreciation and expreince of tea and allow you to give this experience to others. Ritual is an important way for us each day to get re connected to our selves, our lives and our world. During this chaotic time in which we are living these simple acts can give us the grounding we need to move through life and serve others. We will drink exquisite oolongs for this session. $35/person.

We will spend the first half of the session drinking rare herbs and aged puerh which will move you efforlessly into a state of deep calm and expansion. We will then meditate for 40 minutes. You will love this, it is a beautiful way to start the day. No meditation experince is nessesary, leave the driving to me! 15-30$ suggested donation. Please call to reserve a spot.
Saturday 7th, 11am-1230pm. Understanding Puerh Teas. Understanding Puerh Teas.This class will introduce you to the world of puerh teas. These teas are from the mother tea trees in the world and are traditionally aged to increase their chi or potency. You will learn about the different kinds, how they change over time and how to buy puerh teas. These teas have powerful health qualities and can calm and center you in your day. We will drink a wide vaierty of puerh teas boht young and aged to give you an understanding of what this amazing tea can offer. $35./person
Sunday, 8th, 7-830pm. Only the Cup Speaks- A Silent Tea. A night of drinking rare teas silently. Left only to sit in the essence of each tea, you will taste, smell and feel the effects of each rare tea as never before. The silence brings your full attention into presence where every sensation is heightened. Tea is plant medicine and like all medicine like this so much of the practice is learning to listen- listen to the tea, you body, your thoughts- the world is full of conversation, we just dont hear it because we are talking all the time. Come drink with me and let tea so the talking. 35$.
Monday 9th.Tea and Chi- Tea for Self Cultivation Practices. 1-230pm.. Tea and Chi, 7-830pm. Rare tea is full of “chi” or living energy. We will explore some of the various types of chi found in good quality teas. Some teas will make you happy, some ecstatic, some meditative and some will connect you to the vibrancy of life around you. In this session we will explore the various types of chi and you will experience first hand the beautiful range of vibrations, flavors and aromas captured in these rare teas.This is a rare chance to experience these teas and the sacred power of teas for yourself. $35.
Tuesday Morning, 9th, 9-1030am. Sitting Like a Mountian- Using Tea for Meditation Practices :Using Tea for Meditation and Self Cultivation. 11am-12:30pm. This class will teach you how to use tea to aide your meditation/yoga/ chi gung practices. Your will learn to use teas to help open the acupuncture meridians to increase flow and awareness of the subtle energy in your body. Teas can be a profound aide for connecting to meditative states, come with your practical questions! $35/person
Tuesday 10th. Drinking the Tao, A Night of Drinking Rare Aged Puer. 7-9pm. In this session we will drink rare puerh from the 70s and 80s.and 90s. These teas are form the “mother” tea trees in the world and many of my puer teas are from trees hundreds of years old and from wild forests. These old teas contain a living “chi” energy which will transform you and will experience many profound states of being. These old teas are considered very sacred and are real medicine for the mind, body and spirit. Working with this medicine is my specialty and those who have been here before know how amazing these evenings can be. We will be doing these once a month. Limited to six people. $50

Thursday Day, 12th.Rolling in Flowers- An Herbal Tea Session 1-230pm. There are amazing flowers, roots, and leaves that are made into teas and these plants can be healing, calming and transformative. In this class we will explore herbal teas from both eastern and western traditions. We will learn about their healing properties, brewing, and the energetics of these teas. Come and drink flower, root and leaf! $35.
Saturday 14th Puerh Sale/Tasting. 1pm-4pm. I offer a wide vareity of top grade puer teas both young and aged, sheng and shou. The teas I carry are very clean, from pristine forests and careful processing. They will make your body smile and your heart laugh
Sunday 15th: An Evening of Heaven and Earth,1960′s Rare Puerh and Oolong Tasting. 7-10pm. This is a once in a life time opportunity to drink some very rare and amazing puerh from the 1960s. This aged tea is of the calibar of some of the great master vintages of the last 60 years and will move you into procound states of relaxation and awareness. We will aslo drink other rare herbs and aged oolongs in this session to prepare your body for this powerful expreince. I only have one portion of this tea so this will be a one time offering,, dont miss it. $100/person, limit 7 people. We will open the session by drinking some 1960s top grade baozhong oolong from taiwan, another once in a life time opportunity for most. We will also have some special tea foods to make this a beautiful experince.
Monday 16th:Learning Simple Tea Ritual for Your Daily Life. 1-230pm. A simple tea ritual can be a powerful way to create time for yourself in your life. Time to re-center, quiet the mind, leave all the frenetic flow of the day behind and come back to your own self and heart. Learn how to very simply create simple ritual and space in your home. If you dont claim a few moments of your day to connect to the sacred, it will not be given in this busy world. This class is for both begginers and advanced students- there is endless depth to teach here. $35
Tuesday 17th :Blind Tea, A Night of Essences.7-830pm This is a very special night where we explore the essence of tea – its aromas, flavors, and energetics. Guests will wear a blind fold and be given glass after glass of various teas. Without sight you will be focused on the more subtle parts of the tea experience and be drawn into a deep expression of tea, smell, taste, texture and self. There will also be little bites to ear- a berry, a chocolate, etc. This will be a night of essences and beauty. Limited to 6 people- $45.00
Thursday Day 19th, Using Teas in Conjunction with Healing Practices. 12-130pm. High quality tea, from clean biodiverse sources can have tremendous capacity for bringing patients quickly into a quiet, deep , open place from which they can ask for and recieve what they really need to be healed. The teas can also help the healing process through their ability to open channels and removes blocks on many levels from the system. Come learn more. $40/person.
Thursday 19th.Drinking the Mountians, Rare Oolongs from China and Taiwan. 7-830. In this class we will drink rare oolongs from some of the old famous tea mountains of China. Each place has its own special energy and ecology which shapes the way a tea tastes, smells and feels. There is a reason why some of these mountains have been valued by emperors, priests and common folk for centuries. The tea that comes from each of these places is truley sublime and powerful and each carries the unique signiture of the terrior.Included will be zheng yan wuyi oolongs, single bush phoenix oolongs, 20 yr aged top gradeSacred Tea and Meditation. 9-1015am. Saturday 21st ,Rare Tea Sale 12 noon to 4 pm. On this afternoon I will be sampling and selling a dozen exquisite rare teas for sale. I have worked very hard to find teas from pristine places and sources which support the farmers and old school tea growing techniques (an art that is disappearing). These teas are a different caliber from what is on the market and these teas are exquisite and healing . Stop in, sample and buy a special gift for some one or yourself.
Tuesday 24th. Tasting: Wuyi Oolongs. On this night we will drink top shelf oolongs from famed the Wuyi Mountains, these teas are known for their powerful yet refined ”chi” or energy which is deeply calming and can shift you into sublte states awareness with a profound connection to nature. These teas also have amazing aromas and flavors which change in every steeping of the tea – drinking these teas is like drinking “beauty’ itself. We will drink only Zheng Yan teas, teas from the tradtianal growing region: Water Fairy, White Roosters Comb, Cinnimon Fragrance, Old Bush and aged Wuyi teas. This will be an elegant evening of special tea. $50.

Thursday 26th. Beauty in a Cup, The Profound Art of Brewing Tea. Date to Be Announced. Brewing tea is an art that is simple to learn, yet one can work on it a life time and never know all its secrets. You will learn how water, time, temperature, matereials and your own state affect you ability to bring each tea to its fullest life. Of course we will drink amazing rare teas also. 35/person
A Night of Healing and Sacred Tea with Nita Bryant and Heavens Tea. In this session Nita Bryant, a gifted healer will work energetically with people and answer questions as I serve a series of teas which will open, relax and facilitate the healing process. Those of you who have met Nita know she has a tremendous capacity to help people make deep and powerful shifts in their life. $75/person
Sacred Tea and Lakota Medicine Healing Session, Date to be anounced. On this evening I will serve a series of sacred rare teas that will bring you to a place of great depth and openess for the first hour. Then, Lakota Heyoka Medicine Man Steve Stonearrow will perform healing songs and ritual for members of the session. This will be a night of great healing and beauty. Steve is a very gifted healer and brings ageless wisdom to the table. $75/person. Limit 6 people.
