Hi to all my friends. I am back from a month in Taiwan on a tea journey. It was a wonderful trip and I was able to further my understanding of tea, meet some of the great tea masters and visit small organic farms where tea is still being made in the old way. Thank you to all those who made this trip possible.I will post pictures next week on a this site to share with all of you.

Welcome my friends to Heavens Tea and Sacred Arts Center, Portland, Oregon. Here is a listing of our monthly sacred tea offerings. We specialize in rare teas which have a great amount of chi or life force. These teas are calming and have the ability to shift us into deeper, more profound states of awareness. They also have flavor and aroma profiles that are beyond belief, these are not like ANY teas you have had before. All tea sessions include flowers, music, tea snacks, candles, incense in a setting of beauty and elegance.

We have one of the largest selection of  rare teas available to the public in the country including over 75 aged teas between 10-50 years old.  Our many classes and sessions teach both the classical art of tea and the spiritual, inner art of tea. My goal is to give others the tools for making tea their own art and to support the growth of tea culture in the states.

Please contact for private sessions and parties as these are my art and are an experience you will remember for the rest of your life. These can be scheduled for any time. I also do sacred tea as part of may ritual transitions in peoples lives including weddings, funerals, births, family gatherings, etc. Give the gift of a very special experience (gift certificates are available).

So come join me for tea! For private sessions I am often available at a moments notice, so if you are feeling in the moment for something special, just call me and often you can come right over- spontaneity and the flow of the moment is so much a part of tea!

Pricing for Private Sessions And Teaching

Private Teaching: $50 hour.

1-2 people One Hour Introductory Session: $50.00

Full Sessions: 2 people, 2-3 hours: $150, $200 and $250. (Depending on rarity of teas and time.) Each additional person up to 7 people- $25.00.

Tuesday 8th, 7-830pm. A Taste of Taiwan: In this session we will try five of the teas I brought back from my trip- two amazing organic oolongs made in the old style , an old tree sun moon lake black tea that will leave you floating in a chi cloud, beautiful calming wuyi zheng yan cha and some aged Ali Shan oolong form 1994 that will melt you a little. Cost $35/person. Limit 7 people. Call or email for reservation.

Thursday 10th.  7-9pm. Tea Drunk- Come join me for a night of drinking heady teas that will put you into a profound state of calmness, joy and presence. If you have never been tea drunk before, you will be amazed at the different states which rare teas can bring you into. We will drink aged puerh, aged oolong, aged black teas and some rare oolong. Limit 7 people, cost $40-50/person, sliding scale.

Saturday 12th, 9-10:15am -Sitting in the Mountain, a Rare Tea and Meditation Session. We will drink aged puerh tea for 45 minutes to put us into a state of deeper awareness and then sit  in meditation for 45 minutes. No meditation background is  necessary, the teas will lead you naturally into this state. $25/person

Saturday 12th, 11am- 12:30pm- Tea and Chi- a class in understanding the different types of energy in teas and using them for healing and meditation in your daily life. Different rare teas have profoundly different energies and effects on us. Learn how to create your own stock of teas to use for different occasions in your life- relaxing, energizing, meditation, healing, socializing, etc.  We will drink several rare teas and herbal teas including some 30 year old oolong and Chinese Immortality tea.  $35/person.

Monday 14th, 7-8:30pm. Beauty in A Cup- The Art of Brewing Teas. You will learn the art of brewing teas; about water, tea ware brewing times, etc. The beauty of each tea can be unlocked with proper understanding. You will learn some of the secrets in this class. This session is for beginning as well as advanced practitioners, bring your questions, this is an art of endless depth.  As always we will drink several rare teas that will leave you relaxed and joyful. $35/person.

Tuesday 15th, 7-9pm. Drinking The Mountains, The Oolongs of China And Taiwan. In this class you will learn about the different major types of oolongs, how to brew them and the energetic differences between them. We will drink Baozhong and HighMountain Oriental Beauty from Taiwan and Wuyi, Phoenix and Tie quan Yin from mainland China. The caliber of teas we will drink is exceptional and you will leave relaxed and floating on a cloud. Limit 7 people, $35/person.

17th, 7-9pm. Tea as Mind, Body, Spirit Medicine. Rare teas have profound effects on our mind and being. We will explore the ways in which tea and herbal teas can be used as vibrational medicine in your life. Healers, doctors, yoga people, martial artists, mediators will all find this very useful. This will be very special and in the future I will do an extended series of classes on this subject. $45/person.

Saturday 19th, 10am-12 noon. The Sacred Art of Tea. Tea can be an exalted path to self cultivation and harmony with life. This session will focus on studying tea as a Sacred Way. You will learn how to approach and work with tea from a sacred point of view, how to create a tea space in your home and how to use simple tea ritual every day to support your inner growth. $35/person.

Monday 21st, 7-9pm.   Solstice Tea Session. Come celebrate the solstice with rare teas to make you ecstatic, flowers, chocolate, music and good company.This is a night to celebrate life and light- come sit with friends, me and tea!  40$/person.
