Welcome my friends to Heavens Tea and Sacred Arts Center, Portland, Oregon. Here is a listing of our monthly sacred tea offerings. We specialize in rare teas which have a great amount of chi or life force. These teas are calming and have the ability to shift us into deeper, more profound states of awareness. They also have flavor and aroma profiles that are beyond belief, these are not like ANY teas you have had before. All tea sessions include flowers, music, tea snacks, candles, incense in a setting of beauty and elegance.
We have one of the largest selection of rare teas available to the public in the country including over 75 aged teas between 10-50 years old. Our many classes and sessions teach both the classical art of tea and the spiritual, inner art of tea. My goal is to give others the tools for making tea their own art and to support the growth of tea culture in the states.
Please contact for private sessions and parties as these are my art and are an experience you will remember for the rest of your life. These can be scheduled for any time. I also do sacred tea as part of may ritual transitions in peoples lives including weddings, funerals, births, family gatherings, etc. Give the gift of a very special experience (gift certificates are available).
So come join me for tea! For private sessions I am often available at a moments notice, so if you are feeling in the moment for something special, just call me and often you can come right over- spontaneity and the flow of the moment is so much a part of tea!
Pricing for Private Sessions And Teaching
Private Teaching: $50 hour.
1-2 people One Hour Introductory Session: $50.00
Full Sessions: 2 people, 2-3 hours: $150, $200 and $250. (Depending on rarity of teas and time.) Each additional person up to 7 people- $25.00.

FEBRUARY TEA CLASSES- ALL SESSIONS LIMITED TO 7 PEOPLE
1st WEEK OF FEBRUARY
The Humble Pot: Learning to Use the Tea-ware of Asia. Thursday, 4th. 7-9:00pm. $40 In this session we will explore the art of brewing teas. This is a subtle and never ending study; you will learn how to approach different kinds of tea and how to bring out the best in each one. This is a must for anyone who loves tea. We will as always drink some extraordinary teas this evening. For both beginning students and advanced.
Tea and Meditation Session. Saturday 6th, 9am-10:15am. $15-35, sliding scale. We will drink aged tea for 40 minutes to bring us into a state of quiet and expansiveness and then sit in the meditation room for a 30 minute meditation session. Come join us for this weekly session, it is an amazing way to start a weekend. For beginning as well as advanced practitioners. No experience in meditation or spiritual orientation is of any matter. (no mind-no matter)
Sitting in the Mountain: Learning to Use Tea for Meditation. Saturday, 6th 10:30-12:00. $35 In this session we will explore teas that are useful for meditation. There are certain teas which put one in a very grounded and expansive state ideal for internal practices such as meditation, yoga, and chi gong. These teas help you feel the energies of the body, mind and spirit.
2ND WEEK OF FEBRUARY
The First Step on the Path- An Introduction to Tea. Monday, 8th. 7-8:30pm. $35. On this evening I will introduce people to the world of Chinese teas, tea-ware and brewing. This is a great start fofr people who like tea but don’t know what the different kinds of tea are or what to do with them.
Drinking the Forest- A Night of Drinking Aged Teas. Tuesday 9th. 7-9pm. $45. In this class we will try five very special aged puerh teas from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and learn about these powerful and exquisite aged teas. These aged teas develop extraordinary flavors and aromas and chi (energy) over time as well as putting you into a very ecstatic and relaxed state. This is a good place to come and learn what real aged peurhs taste and feel their transformational power.
Tea and Chi: The Energetics of Living Tea. Thursday 11th. 7-9pm $40. In this session we will exlpore the various kinds of chi (energy) in rare teas. Chi in tea can be ecstatic, meditative, expansive, healing deeply quieting, wild or embody beauty. We will drink various teas and share experiences of thier internal effects. (PS- this is VERY FUN). You will leave floating on air.
Tea and Meditation Session. Saturday 13th. 9-10:15am. $15-35 sliding scale. We drink amazing aged tea for 40 minutes which will move you into a deep and quiet place and then we will meditate together for another 40 minutes. This is a great way to start your weekend and the energy will carry you all day. No meditation experience necessary, this will come about naturally after the tea.
Chinese New Years! Sunday 14th, 8-10pm. $45. We sill celebrate Chinese New Years together with amazing teas, chocolate and some ritual to bring in the new year and to set our intentions for the year of the tiger. Yeah!
3RD WEEK OF FEBRUARY
Beauty in a Cup: The Art of Brewing. Wednesday 17th. 7-8:30pm. $35. The Art of Brewing Teas. You will learn the art of brewing teas; about water, tea ware brewing times, etc. The beauty of each tea can be unlocked with proper understanding. You will learn some of the secrets in this class. This session is for beginning as well as advanced practitioners, bring your questions, this is an art of endless depth. As always we will drink several rare teas that will leave you relaxed and joyful.
Tea for Healers. Thursday, 18th. 7-9pm. $50. In this session I will address how rare teas can be used in conjunction with different healing modalities to facilitate the power and depth of the treatment given. Tea can become a simple and effective part of these healing practices and help to quickly move a patient into a deep, receptive, integrative place from which real healing can begin.
Rolling in Flowers: An Herbal Tea Session. Saturday 20th., 10:30-12:15. $35. There are amazing flowers and plants to drink, calm and heal us. In this class we will explore herbal teas from the west and China. We will learn about brewing, the uses of herbs, and the energetics of herbal teas. Come and drink flowers and leaf! We will drink rose, cammomille, immortality tea, tea flower and calendual among others.
4TH WEEK OF FEBRUARY
Tasting the Mountains: The Teas of Asia. Monday 22nd. 7-9pm. $40. In this class we will explore teas from many of the sacred and famous tea mountains in China and Taiwan. You will drink oolongs from great mountians such as Phoenix, Wuyi, Dong Ding, and Li Shan.
Talking to the Immortals- A Night of Drinking Profound Rare Teas. Thursday 25th. 7-9pm. $50. In this session we will drink rare aged oolongs, puerhs and other treats. These teas are very powerful and special and will bring you into a state of profound relaxation, open you in a deep way and maybe make you a bit ecstatic if all goes well. These teas are very rare and not to be missed. Bring a friend, you will definitely be talking to the immortals by the end of the session.

The Sacred Art of Tea: Inner and Outer Cha Dao. Saturday 27th. 10:30am-12:30pm. $45. Tea has the ability to connect us to both our humanity and our divinity. In this class you will be introduced to the sacred aspects of Chinese tea ceremony and various techniques for making this a simple but deep practice for yourself and loved ones. This is a study of infinite depth- open to beginners and advanced practitioners. As always we will drink rare and profound teas.
Full Moon Tea Drunk: A Night of Heady Tea and Ecstatic Poetry. Sunday 28th, 7-9pm. $45. In this evening we will drink many heady rare teas, and read and share poetry from the great ecstatic traditions of Asia. We will read such things as great sufi peotry, mahasiddha poetry form Tibet, wandering Sadhu poetry form India and Taoist poetry form China. We will drink teas that will bring us into that ecstatic state….come celebrate the spiraling joy of life!
