Welcome my friends to Heavens Tea and Sacred Arts Center, Portland, Oregon. Here is a listing of our monthly sacred tea offerings. We specialize in rare teas which have a great amount of chi or life force. These teas are calming and have the ability to shift us into deeper, more profound states of awareness. They also have flavor and aroma profiles that are beyond belief, these are not like ANY teas you have had before. All tea sessions include flowers, music, tea snacks, candles, incense in a setting of beauty and elegance.
We have one of the largest selection of rare teas available to the public in the country including over 75 aged teas between 10-50 years old. Our many classes and sessions teach both the classical art of tea and the spiritual, inner art of tea. My goal is to give others the tools for making tea their own art and to support the growth of tea culture in the states.
Please contact for private sessions and parties as these are my art and are an experience you will remember for the rest of your life. These can be scheduled for any time. I also do sacred tea as part of may ritual transitions in peoples lives including weddings, funerals, births, family gatherings, etc. Give the gift of a very special experience (gift certificates are available).
So come join me for tea! For private sessions I am often available at a moments notice, so if you are feeling in the moment for something special, just call me and often you can come right over- spontaneity and the flow of the moment is so much a part of tea!
Pricing for Private Sessions And Teaching
Private Teaching: $50 hour.
1-2 people One Hour Introductory Session: $50.00
Full Sessions: 2 people, 2-3 hours: $150, $200 and $250. (Depending on rarity of teas and time.) Each additional person up to 7 people- $25.00.

JANUARY CLASSES
Below is a list of January classes and sessions. All sessions are by reservation only, just email (paulrosenberg@sacredtea.com) or call at 503-230-0953. A 48 hour advanced notice is requested. I am located in the Se Hawthorne area in a private home.
TEA AND MEDITATION CLASS: Saturday, January 9th, 9-10:15am. We drink amazing aged tea for 40 minutes which will move you into a deep and quiet place and then we will meditate together for another 40 minutes. This is a great way to start your weekend and the energy will carry you all day. No meditation experince nessesary, this will come about naturally after the tea. Limit 7 people, cost is sliding scale 15-$25, pay as you wish.
TEA DRUNK, A RARE TEA SESSION. Saturday , January 9th, 11am-12:30pm. Certain teas have the effect of relaxing the body and mind, making us a little giddy and experiences an expanded state, putting us into a state know as being “tea drunk”. This is a very grounded state, but very fun, so grab a friend and come have the experience, you will remember it! Limited to 7 people, cost is $35/person.
The Art of Sacred Cha Dao: Monday 11th, 7-8:30. Tea has the ability to connect us to both our humanity and our divinity. In this class you will be introduced to the sacred aspects of Chinese tea ceremony and various techniques for making this a simple but deep practice for yourself and loved ones. This is a study of infinite depth- open to beginners and advanced practitioners. As always we will drink rare and profound teas. Limit 7 people, cost $35.
A TASTE OF TAIWAN: Tuesday 12th, 7-9pm. In this session we will try five of the teas I brought back from my trip, along with some good stories of my tea travels there.- two amazing organic oolongs made in the old style , an old tree sun moon lake black tea that will leave you floating in a chi cloud, beautiful calming wuyi zheng yan cha, some aged Ali Shan oolong form 1994 that will melt you a little, and some 1980s aged puerh that will leave you happy and tea drunk. Cost $45/person. Limit 7 people. Call or email for reservation.
Using Tea as Plant-Spirit -Medicine. Thursday 14th, 7-9 pm. Medicine: Rare teas have amazing and profound effects on on the human mind, body and spirit. The variety of vibrations found in true tea is truly stunning. Come learn how to use tea for meditation, healing, well being as a vehicle to connect you to the deeper, broader harmonies of nature and creation. limit 7 people, cost $45.
SITTING IN THE MOUNTAINS, A Rare Tea and Meditation Session. Saturday 16th, 9-10:15am. Sitting in the Mountain, a Rare Tea and Meditation Session. We will drink aged puerh tea for 45 minutes to put us into a state of deeper awareness and then sit in meditation for 45 minutes. No meditation background is necessary, the teas will lead you naturally into this state. $15-25/person, sliding scale.
Tea for Spiritual Work and Self Cultivation: Monday 18th, 7-9pm. Rare teas can be used as an powerful aid to inner practices such as meditation, chi gong, yoga, healing work and nei gong. There are teas which help move one into internal states, give one a clear sense of ones body as a responsive energetic mechanism and open one up to the more refined aspects of ones awareness. We will try several of these amazing teas during this class. Limit 7 people, cost $45.
Tea and Chi- Thursday 21st, 7-9pm. A class in understanding the different types of energy in teas and using them for healing and meditation in your daily life. Different rare teas have profoundy different energies and effects on us. Learn how to create your own stock of teas to use for different occasions in your life- relaxing, ecstatic,energizing, meditation, healing, socializing, etc. We will drink several rare teas and herbal teas including aged puerh, some 30 year old oolong and Chinese Immortality tea. $35-45, sliding scale.
Tea and Meditation: Saturday 23rd, 9-10:15am.(CHANGED TO SATURDAY THE 30TH, I AM GOING TO CORVALIS TO TEACH THIS WEEKEND) We drink amazing aged tea for 40 minutes which will move you into a deep and quiet place and then we will meditate together for another 40 minutes. BEAUTY IN A CUP, The Art of Brewing. Wednesday 27th, 7-8:30.The Art of Brewing Teas. You will learn the art of brewing teas; about water, tea ware brewing times, etc. The beauty of each tea can be unlocked with proper understanding. You will learn some of the secrets in this class. This session is for beginning as well as advanced practitioners, bring your questions, this is an art of endless depth. As always we will drink several rare teas that will leave you relaxed and joyful. $35/person.
Tea for Healers:Thursday 28th, 7-9pm. In this session I will address how rare teas can be used in conjunction with different healing modalities to facilitate the power and depth of the treatment given. Tea can become a simple and effective part of these healing practices and help to quickly move a patient into a deep, receptive, integrative place from which real healing can begin.Limit 7 people, cost $45.
