Welocme my friends to Heavens Tea and Sacred Arts Center-Here is a listing of our monthly sacred tea offerings. We speicalize in rare teas which have a great amount of chi or life force. These teas are calming and have the ability to shift us into deeper, more profound states of awareness. We have one of the largest selection of rare teas available to the public in the counrty and over 75 aged teas between 10-50 years old. Our many classes and sessions teach both the classical art of tea and the spritiual, inner art of tea. All sessions include flowers, music, tea snacks, candles, incense in a setting of beauty and elegance. Classes are held either in the indoor tea temple or the outdoor tea pagoda. Private classes, parties and rare tea tasting sessions available most times and all weekend nights. Gift certificates are available.

Thursday June 4th. Tea and Qi Class- An exploration of the types of chi or energy in tea.$45/pserson. Limit 7 people. In this session we will exlpore the various kinds of chi (energy) in rare teas. Chi in tea can be ecstatic, meditative, expansive, healing deeply quieting, wild or embody beauty. We will drink various teas and share experiences of thier internal effects. (PS- this is VERY FUN). You will leave floating on air.
Saturday June 6th: Sacred Tea and Vipassana Class: In this special class we will share rare teas for an hour to help us open and deeply center; followed by an hour long insight meditation trianing class led by an hour long Jonathon Reynolds. In this class we will exlplore various technques for meditation and stratagies for holding this profound space during our busy days. Limit 10 people. Saturday June 6th. 5-7pm. Tea Drunk – A Spring Tea Journey. $35 or $55/couple, limit 6 people. In this session we will celebrate spring in the outdoor teahouse. (weather permitting). I will take you on a journey through rare teas which have very powerful chi and each has the ability to shift you into a different state. This session will include rare aged oolong, puerhs from 1000 year old trees as well as a vareity of other teas that will make you swoon and blissful.
Sunday June 7th. Full Moon Tea Session: 7-8:30pm. We will celebrate the full moon this month by getting “tea drunk” on aged puerh and then write inspired tea poetry. Full moon nights are meant for wild abandonment, artistic expression and laughter. For those of you who have had my old peurhs you know this will be a transcendant poetic evening. Tea snacks will be served. If weather permits, we will be in the outdoor teahouse, but it seems like it may be cold. Limit 8 people. Cost: $35. Reservation Required, please call or email.
Monday June 8th. Drinking the Forest- The Aged Teas of China. 7-8:30pm. $50/person or $80/couple. Limit 6 people. In this session we will drink and explore the various aged teas of China: 1980 aged oolong, 1992 peurh, 1998 lui an black tea, 1992 liu bao black tea, aged 1996 tibetan brick tea and 1998 liang green tea. These teas are all rich and quite heady and will leave you floating. Some of these teas are like drinking the whole forest- the earth, the trees, the leaves and eveything in between. This is a are chance to try these teas, please join me. 7-9pm, limit 6 people.
Wednesday June 24th . (PORTPONED UNITL JULY) Tea Tasting- Rare Olongs of China and Taiwan. 7-9pm. $45/person. In this session we will leaern about and drink some of the great oolongs of China. These teas are of a quality that is not served in any teahouse and you will floating after the first tea. The range of tastes, aromas and energy from each tea is extraordianry and will truely change your ideas about what “tea ” is. We will drink rare Wuyi, Tie Quan Yin,and Phoenix teas from China and Taiwnaese oolongs, including aged oolong and oriental beauty.
Thrursday June 25th. The Art of Brewing Tea and the Classical Tea Ware of Asia. 7-8:30pm. $35/pserson, limit 7 people. In t his session we will exlore the art of brewing teas. This is a sublte and never ending study; you will learn how to approach different kinds of tea and how to bring out the best in each one. This is a must for anyone who loves tea. We will as always drink some extraordianary teas this evening. For both beggings students and advanced.
Friday June 26th. Rare Tea Tasting- Aged Puerhs of China. 7-9pm. $65/person or $100/couple, limit 7 people. In this class we will try some special aged puerh form the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and learn about these powerful and exquisite aged teas. These aged teas develop extraordinary flavors and aromas and chi (energy) over time as well as putting you into a very ecstatic and relaxed state. This is a good place to come and learn what real aged peurhs taste and feel their transformational power.
Saturday June 27th. Sacred Tea and Meditation Session. 9-10:15am. $15-20/person donation asked. We will drink aged tea for 40 minutes to bring us into a state of quiet and expansivness and then sit in the meditation room for a 30 minute meditation session. Come join us for this weekly session, it is an amazing way to start a weekend. For beggining as well as advanced practioners.
Saturday June 27th. The Sacred Art of Tea. 7-8:30. $35. Limit 7 people. Come and learn about the sacred path of tea as well as the methods for creating sacred tea sessions. Making tea for someone can be a very powerful event if you learn how to bring presence, intention, attention and a sense of service to it. Also, you will learn what kind of teas facilitate this path. We will drink some very special teas. This will be the first of many classes on the sacred aspects of Cha Dao (the way of tea)
Sunday June 28th. Rare Tea and Chocolate Tasting. 7-9pm. Cost $40/ or $65couple. Monday June 29th. In this session we will try 5 differnent high quality chocolates with 5 rare teas. This cominbation will melt you into a puddle..a ahppy one othough. Bring your sweetheart or come to celebrate life on your own. You will floating on air by the time you leave….no, really. Limit 7 people.
