Dear freinds, here are public events for Febuary. I am also available for private rare tasting or sacred tea sessions and classes staring at $35-50 for a one hour into sessions. Private tastings and classes are available most evenings and all weekend. Contact me for more info. Gift Certificates are also available. EVENT DESCRIPTIONS
Saturday the 7th, Tea Class- The Six Classes of Tea: In this class we will intorduce you to the six classes of tea: white, green, oolong, black, puerh, and herbal. We will drink exceptional tea from each category and explore differences in flavor, aroma, production methods and brewing skills. Limit 8 people. Cost $25/person. Time: Noon- 1:30pm. By Reservation Only.
Tuesday the 10th, Rare Aged Oolong Tasting: In this session we will try five precious aged oolongs: rare 1970s Sichuan oolong toucha, 1980s top grade Luanze oolong, Early 1990s Tie Quan Yin, a mid 1990s Honey Orchid Phoenix Oolong and an amazing early 80s Baozhong. These teas have a tremendous amount of chi but at the same time will make you very very relaxed. This will be an amazing session, dont miss it. Cost $50/person. Time 7-9pm. Limit 8 people. Pure Silver Japanese Tea Pot, Circa 1930′s
Wednesday the 11th, Tea Class- Tea Ware of Asia: In this session we will explore the various types of tea weare used in Asia and what kinds of materials are appropriate for brewing differnt kinds of tea. Brewing teas in Japanese Iron Tetsubins, Chinese Yixing Clay, Japanese Pure Silver Kettles, Kushus, Gaiwans, Clay Pots, Glass and Procelan will all be exlpored. Limit 8 people. Thursday the 12th, Valentines Rare Tea and Gourmet Chocolate Tasting: Myself and Sara Hart from Alma Chocolates will be hosting a Rare Tea and Chocolate Tasting in honor of Valentines Day. We will be having six rare teas paired with six handmade chocolates- we will leave you swooning! Bring your Sweetheart or come alone. We have done these before and it is an amazing experience. Sarah has a magical way with chocolate making with such creations as lavender and carmel wrapped in dark chocolate with sea salt, yum. Paired with my teas, this is a very heady eperience. Valentines Day Tea Sessions! , Saturday Febuary 14th, I will be hosting one daytime private sessions (12-2PM) and two other sessions , one form 3-5 pm and an evenig session,7-9pm. This is a really special unique way of spendig love day or for those who are without a partner, there are allot of us, a way to celebrate love of life with me. The private daytime session is a perfect unique way to have a really special Valentines day. Those who have had tea with me know that you will be floating on air by the time you leave. Sunday the 15th: Enlightend Awarness-The Sacred Art of Tibet. A Tea and Asian Art Class: This is the first of many tea and Asian art sessions I will be doing. In this class we will drink rare teas and discuss the portayal of hightend awareness in Tibetan Buddhist art. We will look both at real pieces and pictures form my art library. This will be a wonderful way to spend an evening. Cost: $25-35, sliding scale. Time: 7-8:30. Limit 8 people. Please call or email for reservation.
Monday the 16th. Tea Class- The Art of Chinese Tea Ceremony, Gung Fu Cha: In this class you will be intorduced to the art of Chinese tea ceremony. You will learn how to do this simple, elegant and beautiful ceremony for your friends and loved ones. We will focus on brewing and drinking excellant oolongs during this session. Cost $25/ person.. Wednesday the 18th. Tea Tasting- Rare Aged Puerh: In this session we will drink exquisite aged puerh form the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. This is a chance to drink some very amazing and mystical teas. These teas, form very old trees in Yunnan China (some trees may be hundreds of years old) and have an amazing amount of chi or life force in them. Each tea is a journey in itself and will give you a different internal experince. Come join me. Cost $75/person. Limit 8 people. Time 7-9pm or so. By reservation- call or email.
Dont Drink Alone, Come to the Party!
Thursay the 19th. Monthly Tea and Sake Party. For past clients and friends, a night of sharing tea, creative company and celebrating life. Lets Build Tea Culture in Portland! Everyone should bring a little tea share (even if its a tea bag). $15/person contribution. Time 7pm to 12 midnight.

Monday the 23rd. A Tea Journey: On this night we will go on a tea jouney together. I have selected rare teas that will transport you, ech one bringing you to a new place, a new sensation, a new flavor, smell, memory….. Come join me- these are fun events. In this session we will try: Early 1990s Guangxi Black Tea (flavors of old wood, dry cherries, incense) , 1989 Sheng Puerh form wild trees (like drinking old wood and forest and sandlewood), Concubine oolong form Taiwan ( like drinking wine, this will make your head buzz) , Puerh Flowers (like roasted honey) and Charcol Roasted Oolong.( smooth, comforting, exotic flavors). Wednesday the 25th: Tea Class- Tea and Chi. The second class in this series, we will drink different rare teas and explore the various types of chi experince. Each of these rare teas has its own powerful vibration and will put you in a differnt state of awarness. Last months class was amazing, dont miss this! Cost 35-50/person, sliding scale. Time 7-9 pm. Thursday the 26th: Tea Party for Those Who Own and Work in Teahouses in Portland. I would like to make this a monthly event, a chance for those in the tea business in Portland to get together, brew tea for each other, talk , share and build tea culture. Lets creat community around tea! Cost $15/person. Time: 7-10pm.

the 27th: Young Puerh Tasting Class. In this session we will drink and explore many top shelf young puerh teas and discuss flavor, chi, aroma, quality and brewing techiniques. The Tibetan Mantra Syllable “ah”- The Infinite Expansion of Conciousness Through Time and Space
Saturday the 28th: Sacred Tea and Vipassana Class: In this special class we will share rare teas for an hour to help us open and deeply center; followed by an hour long insight meditation trianing class led by an hour long Jonathon Reynolds. In this class we will exlplore various technques for meditation and stratagies for holding this profound space during our busy days. Limit 10 people.
