Welcome my friends to Heavens Tea and Sacred Arts Center, Portland, Oregon. Here is a listing of our monthly sacred tea offerings. We specialize in rare teas which have a great amount of chi or life force. These teas are calming and have the ability to shift us into deeper, more profound states of awareness. They also have flavor and aroma profiles that are beyond belief, these are not like ANY teas you have had before. All tea sessions include flowers, music, tea snacks, candles, incense in a setting of beauty and elegance.
We have one of the largest selection of rare teas available to the public in the country including over 75 aged teas between 10-50 years old. Our many classes and sessions teach both the classical art of tea and the spiritual, inner art of tea. My goal is to give others the tools for making tea their own art and to support the growth of tea culture in the states.
Please contact for private sessions and parties as these are my art and are an experience you will remember for the rest of your life. These can be scheduled for any time. I also do sacred tea as part of may ritual transitions in peoples lives including weddings, funerals, births, family gatherings, etc. Give the gift of a very special experience (gift certificates are available).
So come join me for tea! For private sessions I am often available at a moments notice, so if you are feeling in the moment for something special, just call me and often you can come right over- spontaneity and the flow of the moment is so much a part of tea!
Pricing for Private Sessions And Teaching
Private Teaching: $75 hour.
1-2 people One Hour Introductory Session: $75.00
Full Sessions: 2 people, 2+ hours $150 (4 people $200) , $200 and $250. (Depending on rarity of teas) Each additional person up to 7 people- $25.00.

Sacred Tea and Mediation Sessions (2 days) – Saturdays the 19th and 16th from 9-10:15am. 15-20$ sliding scale.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Tea Drunk – A Tea Journey. $35, limit 7 people. In this session I will take you on a journey through rare teas which have very powerful chi and each has the ability to shift you into a different state. This session will include rare aged oolong, puerhs from 1000 year old trees as well as a variety of other teas that will make you swoon and blissful. Come walk in the clouds with me!
Beauty in A Cup,The Art of Brewing Tea and the Classical Tea Ware of Asia. 7-8:30pm. $35/person, limit 7 people. In t his session we will explore the art of brewing teas. This is a subtle and never ending study; you will learn how to approach different kinds of tea and how to bring out the best in each one. This is a must for anyone who loves tea. We will as always drink some extraordinary teas this evening. For both beginners students and advanced.
Drinking Mountains- Rare Oolongs form Taiwan and China. Monday,14th, 7-9pm. $45/person. In this class we will taste rare examples of the major classes of oolongs in China and Taiwan: Baozhong and High Mountain form Taiwan and Wuyi, Old Tree Phoenix, and Tie Quan Yin form China. These are really special teas, you will float away on cloud.
Tea and Qi- Exploring the Types of Qi energy in Tea. Wednesday 16th. 7-9pm. $45/person. an exploration of the types of chi or energy in tea. Limit 7 people. In this session we will explore the various kinds of chi (energy) in rare teas. Chi in tea can be ecstatic, meditative, expansive, healing deeply quieting, wild or embody beauty. We will drink various teas and share experiences of their internal effects. (PS- this is very fun!)
Sitting in the Mountains Heart- Using Teas for Meditation Practice, Thursday 17th. 7-9pm. $45/person. In this session we will explore teas that are useful for meditation. There are certain teas which put one in a very grounded and expansive state ideal for internal practices such as meditation, yoga, and chi gong. These teas help you feel the energies of the body, mind and spirit.
Tea Class- An Introduction to The Types of Teas in Asia. Monday 21st. 7-8:30pm. $35/person. In this class, we will explore the 6 classes of tea: white, green, oolong, black, peurh and herbal. You will learn about each type as well as how to brew these teas. After this class you will be able to approach any tea in the world.
Drinking Old Trees: An Aged Puerh Tea Tasting. Wednesday 23rd, 7-9:00pm. $50/person. Aged Puerhs of China. limit 7 people. In this class we will try five very special aged puerh teas from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and learn about these powerful and exquisite aged teas. These aged teas develop extraordinary flavors and aromas and chi (energy) over time as well as putting you into a very ecstatic and relaxed state. This is a good place to come and learn what real aged peurhs taste and feel their transformational power.
The Leaf and the Bean: A rare tea and chocolate tasting. Friday 25th,7-9pm, $45/person. In this evening we will sample six different rare teas paired with six amazing chocolates, this session will make you swoon, no , really. Limit 7 people.
Rolling in Flowers- An Herbal Tea Tasting. Saturday Morning, 26th 10:30-12pm. $35/person. There are amazing flowers and plants to drink, calm and heal us. In this class we will explore herbal teas from the west and China. We will learn about brewing, the uses of herbs, and the energetics of herbal teas. Come and drink flowers and leaf! We will drink rose, chamomile, immortality tea, tea flower and calendual among others. Limit 7 people, cost $35/ person.
Tasting 5 Mountains: A Rare Tea Tasting- Rare Oolongs form Taiwan and China, Tuesday 29th. 7-8:30pm $40/person. Ecstatic Teas and Ecstatic Poetry, A Night to Give You Wings. Wednesday 30th – 7-8:30pm. $35/person. The Ecstatic Poetry of Asia and Ecstatic Tea Session. In this evening we will sit in the outdoor tea house, drink heady rare teas, and read and share poetry from the great ecstatic traditions of Asia. We will read such things as great sufi poetry, mahasiddha poetry form Tibet, wandering Sadhu poetry form India and Taoist poetry form China. We will drink teas that will bring us into that ecstatic state….come celebrate the spiraling joy of life!
Sword and Cup Nights (2 nights)- A night of Samurai movies and rare tea. Friday 18th and 7-9pm. $35/person. and Sunday the 20th 7-9pm. A movie night to drink fine teas, eat tasty snacks and watch the adventures of Zatoichi, The Blind Swordsman (over 30 movies in this series)
Sacred Tea and Mediation Sessions (2 days) - Saturdays the 19th and 16th from 9-10:15am. 15-20$ sliding scale. A chance to drink some aged puerh which will help center and open us followed by a 40 minute meditation session. NO meditation experience is necessary.
