      Welocme to Heavens Tea and Sacred Arts Center- Here is a listing of our monthly sacred tea offerings. We speicalize in rare teas which have a great amount of chi or life force. These teas are calming and have the ability to shift us into deeper, more profound states of awareness. We have one of the largest selection of  rare teas available to the public in the counrty and over 75 aged teas between 10-50 years old.  Our many classes and sessions teach both the classical art of tea and the spritiual, inner art of tea.  All sessions include flowers, music, tea snacks, candles, incense in a setting of beauty and elegance. Private classes, parties and rare tea tasting sessions available most times and all weekend nights. Gift certificates are available.

WEDNESDAY 15th. – The Art of Brewing Tea-an in depth class on the art of brewing the different kinds of tea form Asia. We will explore how water, water temperature, brewing vessel and type of tea al effect the tea you brew. As in all my classes you will be taught how to make this your own art and how to adjust all these variables to fit your day and your mood. For both begginers and advanced students. 7-8:30pm. Cost: $35. Limit 7 people. Reservation only.

 

 

THURSDAY 16th. Chinese Tea Ceremony Class. 7-8:30. Learn this simple but profound ritual for making and sharing tea. The Chinese Tea Ceremony, “Gung Fu Cha” , is a very simpe ritual that can create great beauty, presence and connection among those participating. It is a great way to create a little sacred time and space in your day thorugh tea and simple ritual and is also a great way to be with freinds and loved ones. Cost $35, limit 7 people. Reservation only.

 

 

FRIDAY 17th. Rare Tea Tasting- The Aged Teas of China. 7-9pm. In this session you will have a rare chance to try the  different aged teas of China: 20 year Puerh, 20 year Aged Oolong, 19 year aged green Lui An, 15 year aged black Lui Bao, 12 year aged green Liang tea, 11 year old FU tea and 10 year aged Tibetan tea. Most of these teas are ukown outside china and they are quite unusal and fun to drink. Aged teas have a low caffine content but an increased amount of flavor aroma and “chi” or energy. Cost $50, limit 7 people, reservation only.

 

SATURDAY 18th.  Weekly Tea and Meditation. 10am-11:15am. We will drink aged tea for 40 minutes to bring us into a state of quiet and expansivness and then sit in the meditation room for a 30 minute meditation session. Cost: $15-20 sliding scale. Limit 7 people, please call for reservation.

 

 

SATURDAY 18th. Class- An Intorduction to Puerh Teas. 4-5:30pm. In this class you will be educated in puerh teas form Yunnan Province in China. These teas come form the origanal tea trees in the world, some living for thousands of years and are aged after picking. We will taste both young and old puerhs, learn about brewing methods and how to know quality puerh. Cost $35, limit 7 people. By reservation.

 

 

SUNDAY 19th- Private Sacred Tea and Vedic Astology Sessions- Sign up for a private 45 minute rare tea tasting followed by a 45 minute private vedic astrology session with Andy Matinog, a gifted yogic practitioner, teacher and vedic astrologer. The tea sessions are geared towards opening you up in a very deep way, through the use of rare aged teas, so that upon entering the vedic reading you are in a place from which you can ask and receive deeply from. These reading can help with navigationg the swirling tides of life.  Fee: $45 for Tea and $50-75, sliding scale for Vedic session.

 

 

MONDAY 20th.  Tea and Chi. 7-8:30pm.In this session we will exlpore the various kinds of chi (energy) in rare teas. Chi in tea can be ecstatic, meditative, expansive, healing  deeply quieting, wild or embody beauty. We will drink various teas and share experiences of thier internal effects. (PS- this is VERY FUN). You will leave floating on air. Limit 8 people. Cost $35. Reservation Required, please call or email.

 

 

TUESDAY 21st. Tea and Chocolate- a spring session devoted to two of the best things in the world. We will sample 5 rare teas filled with beauty and 5 types of chocolate chosen to make you swoon. The setting will include flowers, incense, candles, beautiful art- everything to open you up and to celebrate beauty in the world.  This will be a sublime evening and you will leave floating on air. . Limit 7 people, $45/person, reservation only.

THURSDAY 23rd. The Sacred Art of Tea. Come and learn about the sacred path of tea as well as the methods for creating sacred tea sessions. Making tea for someone can be a very powerful event if you learn how to bring presence, intention, attention and a sense of service to it. Also, you will learn what kind of teas facilitate this path. We will drink some very special teas.  This will be the first of many classes on the sacred aspects of Cha Dao (the way of tea).  7-8:30 pm. FRIDAY 24th -Tea and The Sacred Art of Tibet. 7-8:30pm. In this class we will drink several potent teas which will put us into a state of depth and calm and then we will discuss and learn about the profound and deeper aspects of Tibetan art. We will look at books of old paintings and I will teach you to read the sacred sybolism embeded in this art form. Feel free to bring paintings to discuss. Limit 7 people, cost- $35. Saturday 25th- evening- priavate party.

 

 

SUNDAY 26th- Sacred Tea and Reiki Healing Sessions. These private two hour sessions include an hour of rare teas which will relax and open you in a very deep way followed by an hour of Reiki healing with Stacey Darbey who has a profound gift for healing.  Reiki is a form of hands on energetic healing which will help your body, mind and spirit return to a state of greater natural health. Cost $100 for the two hour session. 11am-5pm.

 

MONDAY 27th-  Rare Aged Oolong Tasting. In this session we will try five precious aged oolongs: rare 1970s Sichuan oolong toucha, 1970s Tie Quan Yin, Early 1978 Baozhong Oolong, a mid 1990s Honey Orchid Phoenix Oolong and an amazing early 80s Baozhong. When teas age properly, the caffine level drops but the chi, flaovor and aromas evolve into complex beautiful attributes. These teas have a tremendous amount of chi but at the same time will make you very very relaxed. This will be an amazing session, dont miss it. Cost $50/person. Time 7-9pm. Limit 8 people. TUESDAY 28th-Tea Class: The Art of Asian Teaware. In this class you will be educated in the various kinds of classic Asian teaware form Japan, Korea, and China. You will learn how to use each type of teapot, how know which tea to use with each kind of teaware and about the aesethics of teaware. 7-8:30pm. Limit 8 people. Cost 35. WEDNESDAY 29th- Herbal Tea Class. 7-8;30pm -There are amazing flowers and plants to drink, calm and heal us. In this class we will explore herbal teas from  the west and China. We will learn about brewing, the uses of herbs, and the energetics of herbal teas.  Come and drink flowers and leaf! We will drink rose, cammomille, immortality tea, tea flower and calendual among others. Limit 7 people, cost $25-35/ person, sliding scale.

 

 

THURSDAY 30th- Rare Oolongs of China and Taiwan- In this session we will drink oolongs of a quality rarely found in the west. We will drink Taiwanese high mountian oolongs, fujian phoenix old tree oolong, hand crafted small farm wuyi oolong, taiwanese tie quan yin oolong and some rare 25 year old aged baozhong form taiwan. For those who love oolong, these are increadalbe teas and this is a chance to try teas that will transport, relax and move you deeply. $45/person, limit 7 people. By reservation only. 7-9pm.
