Dear Tea Friends, Here is a calender of tea events this month at my tea school. I am keeping Thanksgiving week open so that people can come for sessions with friends or relatives. I will be available mornings, days and evenings for sessions. Please call to make arrangements. Don”t forget the party! Also, my old website is down, but my new one will be up soon and will have a calender of all tea events.
This Thursday, November 13th from 7-9:00 pm.- Rare Tea Tasting - This weeks tasting will include 40 yr old baozhong oolong from Taiwan, 20 year old aged black tea form China, a beautiful 10 year old aged phoenix oolong, spring organic green tea from Taiwan and a sublime black tea from Taiwan which will change you view of black teas forever. Fee: $35-60, sliding scale. Limited to 5 people.
Sunday November 16th, from 12-7:00pm- Rare Tea and Tarot Sessions. Sign up for a private 45 minute rare tea tasting followed by a 30 minute private tarot session with Robin Shanti, by far the best tarot reader I have ever met. The tea sessions are geared towards opening you up in a very deep way, through the use of rare aged teas, so that upon entering the tarot reading you are in a place from which you can ask and receive deeply from. Fee: $45 for Tea and $25-50, sliding scale for Tarot.
Wednesday November 19th from 7-9:00pm - Rare Tea Tasting- A session devoted to aged ripe (shu) puerhs. Evening will include 1 year, 5 year, 10 year, 20yr old puer teas as well as a special puerh made by a modern tea master/ physician according to old Taoist alchemical specifications. This should be a fun evening! Fee- $45-65 sliding scale. Limited to five people.
Saturday November 22nd from 10:00am until 11:30 am- Tea Class- Introduction to the Tea ware of Asia and Its Use. In this class I will teach people to the various types of tea ware used in Asia and what teas are appropriate for what kind of brewing vessel. Included will be gaiwans, gung fu pots, kyusus, sterling, ceramic, porcelain and clay pots as well as other interesting things. This will be the first in a series of classes on the art of tea. ( and of course we will drink great tea throughout) Fee: $35- 50, sliding scale.
Sunday November 23rd from 11 am until 6pm- Rare Tea and Vedic Astrology Sessions- Sign up for a private 45 minute rare tea tasting followed by a 45 minute private vedic astrology session with Andy Matinog, a gifted yogic practitioner, teacher and vedic astrologer. The tea sessions are geared towards opening you up in a very deep way, through the use of rare aged teas, so that upon entering the vedic reading you are in a place from which you can ask and receive deeply from. Fee: $45 for Tea and $50-75, sliding scale for Vedic session.
Holiday Gift Certificates - I will be offering gift certificates this year, great for loved ones for the holidays. $50,100,150, 200 certificates available. Give something really different this year.
